During this Free PD session, Teacher Retention Specialist David McDuffie gets RAW on his experiences with the first of the 3 temptations teachers go through in the profession. Temptations are used to get positively passionate educators to lose their inner drive, stay stagnant, become apathetic about teaching, ruin their reputation, and/or dishonorably end their teaching career. These powerful, culture-altering strategies can be employed by school staff supervising Generation Alpha children & teens. The impact of listening: As a Black Educator, my trials aren't related to my ethnicity, but more related to what I carry on the inside that prompts me to seek help rather than isolate believing most staff is against me. As a Male Educator, I understand that I may be tempted more than most, since the agenda is for children to grow up with disorder, confusion, chaos, and without the blessing of understanding their purpose on Earth. As a Husband/Father, the importance of praying in the evening and/or early morning are pivotal to keeping the progress the family has, because demons are seeking for gaps in protection. As a Christian, I'm reminded that it's my actions of prayer/fasting/giving thanks/meditating on the word, not just words of past faith that protect me from satan's advances. I need to fight spiritually instead of thinking many issues are simply physical.
